About The Project

The 3D models of the abdominal aorta were made as part of the Microsoft HoloLens innovation project run by Medronic at the University of Dundee , for the development of innovative augmented reality tools to enhance medical education.

The project involved the design and creation of  an augmented reality app to be used on the HoloLens device for medical education and training. The team consisted of an interdisciplinary group of students from Computer Science, Medicine, Anatomy and Medical Art backgrounds. The model is labelled and has voice overs. A four step animation of the EVAR procedure is also available to visualize.

This web page was made to resemble a patient information website on Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm with an overview of the condition and treatment options.

The animation of the EVAR procedure , the Endurant™ II stent graft system is deployed.

The animation was made on  Adobe After Effects CC.
